The Supreme Court of the United States (SCOTUS) ruled the individual mandate part of Obamacare constitutional under the power of Congress to level and collect taxes, an argument the Obama administration did not even attempt to make before the SCOTUS. I have a hard time believing this reasoning.

Lets us say you go to purchase a car. You would be expected to pay various taxes on said purchases. Now what if the government said you need to pay a mandate if you didn’t purchase a car? Sound fair to you? The government would argue that requiring to either purchase a car or paying a fine for not purchasing one would lower the overall burden for everyone. In my mind I’m being forced to engage in an activity, whether I want to or not, hardly what I would call freedom.

Only hope now is for Congress to overturn this act, which would require a majority thinking this is a good idea and a President that would not veto such a law. Your vote counts this fall, toss the bums out that support Obamacare

Recently President Obama did a town-hall meeting and one of the comments from the audience was around gas at close to $3.70 a gallon. To which the president responded:

“If you’re complaining about the price of gas and you’re only getting 8 miles a gallon, you know,” Obama said laughingly. “You might want to think about a trade-in.”

It should be noted that at no time did the person that made this comment state what type of vehicle they were driving, nor how many miles to the gallon they were getting. The president, in his finite wisdom (yes I meant finite instead of infinite) just assumed what type of vehicle the per person was driving. And showing his elitist attitude that this person should just trade in for a different vehicle. I guess perhaps the president has infinite wisdom and thus knows the economic situation of this person.

Welcome to change America.

Funny how they don’t say that about President Obama, If you been following President Obama there should be no doubt in the unbiased mind that he is in way over his head.

Now this isn’t saying he is stupid, a common line liberals would toss at President Bush, but rather his lack of experience is exposed for the world to see. And trust me, the world sees it. One just has to look at the actions of many governments, both allies and enemies to see this.

Peggy Noonan has an article out called He Was Supposed to Be Competent. Give it a read. Many people, myself included would have said He Was Supposed to Be Competent? We would have been surprised if he had shown competence.

Paul Mirengoff has an article on the Washington Examiner called Why Does He Hate Us? Read it now. 20 Years from now I believe that we’ll look back and rank President Obama as one of the worse president’s in the history of the United States.

Former President Carter decided to weigh in with his opinion on Representative Joe Wilson’s outburst during President Obama health care speech. First a note to Rep. Wilson: There is a proper time and place to point out a layer, that wasn’t the time or place. Carter let it be known that Rep. Wilson’s comments were “based on racism”.

Ah yes, seeing this again. Disagree with President Obama and be prepared to be labeled a racist, a terrorist, or both.  I’ve seen this way to often, disapprove of the and prepare for the onslaught. Gotta love a well reasoned debate.

The left is also having a hard time dealing with the fascist label, mainly due to their own ignorance on what Fascism means. If your mind jumps right away to killing Jews then you don’t understand Fascism. Fascism is a left leaning socialist agenda, why do you think the Nazi’s called themselves Socialists? I would suggest people read Jonah Goldberg’s book “Liberal Fascism” to help expand their knowledge in this area.

There has been a lot of flak going around about the “Obama as Joker” picture that has been making the rounds, even showing up on t-shirts. I really don’t have an opinion on it either way, I don’t think it is too funny (just a little) and really not making a good political point. Now Obama dressed up as Fidel Castro would be funnier and even closer to the truth, but that is not the purpose of this posting.

Some people are outraged by the picture. Guess you would have to be an kool-aid drinking Obama supporter to understand the outrage, after all he is the savior of us all (insert laugh). One of those outraged is the LA Weekly (I think they prefer grape kool-aid). In their blog posting the LA Weekly had this to say about the picture:

“It has a bit of everything to appeal to the drunk tank of California conservatism: Obama is in white face, his mouth (like Ledger’s Joker’s) has been grotesquely slit wide open and the word “Socialism” appears below his face. The only thing missing is a noose.”

Hmm, I take it the editors aren’t happy with the picture… If you dig back in your memory you should recall that the LA Weekly had a cover picture of then President Bush, re-done as a bloodthirsty vampire. The LA Weekly had no issues with doing that but heaven forbid someone make fun of their messiah.

Many more examples of  the liberal media being upset over this picture are easy enough to find. Once you find one see how easy it is to find those same people being upset over many of the slams against President Bush in various images, including one of him as the Joker. Don’t hold your breath while trying to find one.

It seems President Obama scares him.  Lou Pritchett and many others are probably scared too, including me.

President Obama first demanded the resignation of Inspector General Gerald Walpin. Walpin reminded the President that he is not a political appointee and would not resign. Thus President Obama fired him.

What makes this a story is that Walpin had the nerve to investigate a major supporter of the President, Kevin Johnson for fraud in his program St. HOPE. St. HOPE received money from the AmeriCorps program and was found to have used these funds for such things as having Johnson’s car washed. St. HOPE agreed to repay about half of the $850,000 it recieved from AmeriCorps.

This being the age of Obama, when can ot question or accuse one of his followers. Flogging or tar and feathering doesn’t look too good in public so firing a person with such audcity is the next big thing. No worries, I’m sure the President will spin this to look good for him and the mainstream media will play along.
